FAQ

FAQ

Answers about the free tools, privacy, quotes, and studio work.

Free Tools

Yes. The browser tools do not ask for payment or a sign-up.

Yes. Files you download from the free tools are yours to use in client and commercial work. Do not upload images you do not have the right to edit.

General

FixPhotoLab publishes free image tools and also takes on professional photo editing. Use a tool when the job is simple. Use a quote when a person should finish the file.

No. Open a tool and work. The studio quote is separate and only happens if you send one.

Image Processing

JPG, PNG, WebP, and GIF. GIF uses the first frame. Very large files are limited so the browser stays responsive.

It uses a segmentation model, so it handles more than a flat color. Fine hair, fur, glass, and mesh can still be rough. Those edges are image masking work.

Payments

Payment terms are written in the quote or invoice. This website does not store card numbers. [Add the payment methods you actually accept.]

Refund terms are not set on this page. They belong in the quote you accept. [Replace this answer when the business has a written refund policy.]

Privacy

No. The image is processed in your browser. The background remover downloads its model once from the model host; the photo itself is not uploaded. Closing the tab discards the working copy.

A quote attachment is uploaded so the studio can see the job. That is separate from the free tools. See the privacy policy for how those files are handled.

Professional Editing

Clipping paths, background removal, masking, ghost mannequin, retouching, beauty, shadows, color changes, jewelry, multi-path files, product sets, and real estate photographs.

Quotes

The service, the number of images, the file format you need back, and a deadline if you have one. A sample file helps.

No. Work starts after the scope in the quote is accepted.

Services

Match the edge and the destination. A hard product edge is often a clipping path. Hair is masking. A whole catalog is product photo editing. If you are unsure, say so in the quote.

Turnaround

It depends on the edit and the volume. The quote includes timing. This site does not advertise a turnaround that has not been agreed.
